Year end getaway

Akhirnya dapat tunaikan hasrat pergi bercuti bersama keluarga. Alhamdulillah. 



Lepas check in, berjalan - jalan di klia sementara menunggu flight pukul 9.50 malam.


Boarding satu jam awal, masa sampai gate tue semua penumpang adalah blonde semulajadi, sampai saya perasan kami satu family je orang melayu.  Wah!!!! announcement yang dibuat oleh staff MAS dwibahasa sampai nak beritahu tak yah la susah-susah buat dwibahasa, buat english je.

Main dish untuk malam ialah rice with chicken kurma/ fillet fish cheese with potatoes sebab bangga menjadi rakyat malaysia maka ambillah rice with chicken kurma.  Yang lain duk tengok je makanan yang saya makan nie. Dap! dap! dap! DAP! tue maksudnya sedap ya...


In-flight entertainment ada banyak sangat movie sampai tak tertengok semua movie yang ada.  Godek channel je dah 1/2 jam sebab tak tahu nak pilih yang mana. Sempat tengok real steel dengan 27 dresses. Lepas tue tengok tv show the glee. Before landing, main battle game lawan dengan adik.


Main dish untuk breakfast omelette/ nasi lemak sebab semangat nak ke new zealand so ambil omelette. sangat dap okay! yang lain tu side dish dia. Omelette and hash brown. Yummy.

How to Built Self - Confidence

Do you know how to built self - confidence? Do you know what is it?

Do you know??

I know it.

I know many people define it in relation to what we want to do, but feel too anxious, nervous or worried about.  For me, definition of self-confidence centres on being assertive, on getting what you want. This is about standing up for yourself, about having the presence, the personal power, if you like, to regard yourself as equal to others and to behave in a way that reflect this.


What is it??

1. Dress Sharp

 Although clothes don’t make the man or woman, they certainly affect the way he or she feels about himself or herself. No one is more conscious of your physical appearance than you are. When you don’t look good, it changes the way you carry yourself and interact with other people. Use this to your advantage by taking care of your personal appearance. In most cases, significant improvements can be made by bathing and shaving frequently, wearing clean clothes, and being cognizant of the latest styles.


This doesn’t mean you need to spend a lot on clothes. One great rule to follow is “spend twice as much, buy half as much”. Rather than buying a bunch of cheap clothes, buy half as many select, high quality items. In long run this decreases spending because expensive clothes wear out less easily and stay in style longer than cheap clothes. Buying less also helps reduce the clutter in your closet.


2. Good Posture
 Similarly with the way a person carries herself tells a story.  People with slumped shoulders and lethargic movements display a lack of self confidence. They aren’t enthusiastic about what they’re doing and they don’t consider themselves important. By practicing good posture, you’ll automatically feel more confident. Stand up straight, keep your head up, and make eye contact. You’ll make a positive impression on others and instantly feel more alert and empowered.

3. Personal Commercial
One of the best ways to build confidence is listening to a motivational speech. Unfortunately, opportunities to listen to a great speaker are few and far between. You can fill this need by creating a personal commercial. Write a 30-60 second speech that highlights your strengths and goals. Then recite it in front of the mirror aloud (or inside your head if you prefer) whenever you need a confidence boost.


4. Gratitude

When you focus too much on what you want, the mind creates reasons why you can’t have it. This leads you to dwell on your weaknesses. The best way to avoid this is consciously focusing on gratitude. Set aside time each day to mentally list everything you have to be grateful for. Recall your past successes, unique skills, loving relationships, and positive momentum. You’ll be amazed how much you have going for you and motivated to take that next step towards success.





5.Compliment other people

When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising other people. Refuse to engage in backstabbing gossip and make an effort to compliment those around you. In the process, you’ll become well liked and build self confidence. By looking for the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.

6. Speak Up

During group discussions many people never speak up because they’re afraid that people will judge them for saying something stupid. This fear isn’t really justified. Generally, people are much more accepting than we imagine. In fact most people are dealing with the exact same fears. By making an effort to speak up at least once in every group discussion, you’ll become a better public speaker, more confident in your own thoughts, and recognized as a leader by your peers.

7. Work Out

Along the same lines as personal appearance, physical fitness has a huge effect on self confidence. If you’re out of shape, you’ll feel insecure, unattractive, and less energetic. By working out, you improve your physcial appearance, energize yourself, and accomplish something positive. Having the discipline to work out not only makes you feel better, it creates positive momentum that you can build on the rest of the day.

8. Focus on Contribution

Too often we get caught up in our own desires. We focus too much on ourselves and not enough on the needs of other people. If you stop thinking about yourself and concentrate on the contribution you’re making to the rest of the world, you won’t worry as much about you own flaws. This will increase self confidence and allow you to contribute with maximum efficiency. The more you contribute to the world the more you’ll be rewarded with personal success and recognition.

this is Red Velvet...Delicious right?? yummy :)

Actually really want to eat red velvet since a month ago..call mama cakap nak makan red velvet and mama cakap mama tak ada masa and mama suruh tanya kawan-kawan yang tahu dekat kawasan pasir gudang mana ada jual red velvet?? 

Bila tengok facebook, ada rakan satu uni jual red velvet. iman adalah orangnya. Bukan sahaja pandai dari segi akademik malah membuat kek,kuih dan coklat inilah orangnya...hey guys, siapa-siapa nak order choc, nak design sekali boleh order dari iman nie...


Hah!!! This one of the example that iman did..Looks like cup cake right?? 

Here's the red velvet recipes that i got from mama :

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oils
  • 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1 pound cream cheese, softened
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
  • Chopped pecans and fresh raspberries or strawberries, for garnish

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees . Line 2 (12-cup) muffin pans with cupcake papers.
In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. In a large bowl gently beat together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla with a handheld electric mixer. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the wet and mix until smooth and thoroughly combined.
Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake tins about 2/3 filled. Bake in oven for about 20 to 22 minutes, turning the pans once, half way through. Test the cupcakes with a toothpick for doneness. Remove from oven and cool completely before frosting.


For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla together until smooth. Add the sugar and on low speed, beat until incorporated. Increase the speed to high and mix until very light and fluffy.
Garnish with chopped pecans and a fresh raspberry or strawberry.


P/S: Frost the cupcakes with a butter knife or pipe it on with a big star tip.

Do's and Don'ts while period ladies.

Hey ladies, 
setiap kali datang bulan, kebiasaannya  anda akan mengalami premenstrual syndrome (PMS).  Pastinya situasi ini menimbulkan rasa tidak senang dan kurang selesa hingga menganggu aktiviti harian anda.  Ramai yang tidak sedar, PMS menjadi bertambah teruk kerana kesilapan anda sendiri yang memburukkan lagi keadaan tersebut.  Ladies should know Do's and Don'ts during PMS.

DO'S

1. Makan makanan dengan kalsium tinggi

Let me tell you, satu kajian ada menemukan makan makanan berkalsium dan vitamin D yang tinggi memiliki risiko lebih rendah mengalami PMS yang serius.  Kerana kalsium akan bekerja di otak untuk meringankan tekanan atau rasa cemas dan dalam masa yang sama, vitamin D boleh memperbaiki perubahan emosi.

2.Makan makanan biji-bijian, protein, buah dan sayur

Jenis - jenis makanan tersebut diketahui kaya dengan kandungan vitamin B.  Kajian terbaharu menemukan bahawa perempuan yang banyak mengambil vitamin B1 dan vitamin B2 boleh mengurangkan risiko PMS.



3. Melakukan olahraga ringan

Melakukan olahraga ringan seperti berjalan kaki atau berenang secara teratur sebanyak 3 kali seminggu sebelum datang bulan.  Ini dapat membantu menguatkan otot dan sendi sehingga menurunkan risiko terjadinya kejang perut.



DON'TS

1. Melewatkan waktu makan

Ladies you must know this.  PMS sangat berkait rapat dengan perubahan emosi.  Jadi jika anda melewatkan waktu makan  dan membuatkan tubuh menjadi lapar, maka ia akan memburukkan lagi gejala PMS seperti anda lebih mudah marah akibat kadar gula darah yang menurun.  

2.Pengambilan gula berlebihan

Pengambilan gula yang berlebihan boleh mengakibatkan perubahan pada tingkat hormon estrogen dan progesteron yang boleh menurunkan kadar senyawa serotonin di otak.  Secara tidak langsung perubahan ini boleh mempengaruhi emosi yang membawa kepada gejala PMS.



3.Garam yang tinggi dalam makanan

Seperti yang kita tahu, hampir setiap makanan yang dimakan pasti mengandungi garam dan sangat sukar menghentikan pengambilannya.  Pengambilan garam dalam jumlah yang tinggi boleh menyebabkan perut kembung dan kekurangan air dalam badan yang membuat PMS menjadi semakin serius.




Me Time

Apa yang selalu anda lakukan sewaktu "Me Time"??

Setiap hari kerja! kerja ! kerja !... Assignment! Assignment! Assignment !... Stress sehingga tiada waktu untuk merehatkan diri.  Korang  patut memperuntukkan sedikit ruang waktu tersendiri untuk merehatkan diri.  Ruang waktu ini membolehkan korang menghindar dari kepenatan dan recharge your energy.

Kali ini saya membawakan kepada rakn-rakan apa yang perlu kita buat sewaktu "ME TIME"..

Bebas Dari Rasa Bersalah

Sering merasa bersalah di atas kesibukan yang anda lalui?? Tidak perlu ada rasa bersalah jika kamu memang sedar bahawa korang jarang memiliki waktu terluang atau santai. Rasanya tak salah jika korang memanfaatkannya untuk kesenangan sendiri.  Korang juga boleh melakukan perkara yang selama ini korang tundakan.  Contohnya karoeke, berenang, pergi ke spa atau bersantai di tepi pantai.




Matikan Telefon Bimbit

Okay, zaman sekarang siapa yang boleh hidup tanpa handphone?? Cuba beritahu saya?  Sekarang orang yang guna hanphone bukn sahaja golongan remaja atau tua bahkan kanak-kanak juga ada handphone.  Pergi mana-mana mesti dengan handphone. Kalau tak bawa handphone dah mula keluh kesah jadinya. Adoi..  Korang sedar tak dengan adanya handphone, korang sukar memiliki " Me Time".  Jika memiliki hasrat untuk menyendiri, harus merelakan untuk tutup handphone.  Kalau tak nak tutup pun, just tinggalkan dekat bilik pun okay.  Pasti rasa " ME TIME" jika berjalan - jalan tanpa ada sebarang deringan yang bakal mengganggu.  Tiada juga reminder buat korang, sesekali tanpa handphone untuk merasakan "ME TIME" pasti seronok.

Kosongkan Gelas

Saya tak suruh korang kosongkan gelas untuk dapat "ME TIME"..kahkahkah... Kerja yang berlambak sering membuatkan korang merasa masa itu memang tidak boleh disia-siakan begitu sahaja apatah lagi  waaktu 5 minutes break.. OMG!!  Jika korang sedang bersantai - santai, pasti korang terfikir " daripada bersantai lebih baik siapkan kerja yang banyak itu".  HELLO!!! WAKE UP!!!  Dengan kerja yang banyak itu belum tentu boleh selesai dengan cepat.. Ibarat gelas yang sudah penuh, bila diisi ia akan terus tertumpah keluar.  Tubuh kita bukanlah yang sentiasa berfungsi 24 jam.  Ia ada batas untuk menerima semua tugas dan kesibukan yang anda lalui.  Sometimes kita perlu mengosongkan gelas agar terhindar dari stress akibat terlebih bebanan kerja.  

Olahraga Jom

Bersenam dapat melepaskan hormon endorfin yang membantu tubuh menjadi lebih relaks.  Bersenam dapat juga bebas dari stress.  Bila diri stress dari tekanan, maka tidur juga akan menjadi lebih lena dan tubuh juga akan bertambah sihat. I LIKE THIS!!!  Apa kata luangkan sedikit masa pergi ke gym,berenang, main bola keranjang atau apa sahaja jenis sukan yang dapat mengeluarkan peluh.

Lena Sungguh Tidur

Sering sahaja berlaku apabila bangun dari tidur dan lihat jam dah lewat untuk ke kelas serta tergesa - gesa untuk bersiap.   Sesekali bergelung di atas katil sehingga tengah hari tidak akan menjadikan korang seorang yang pemalas.. Memanglah orang kata tak elok bangun sewaktu matahari dah naik atas kepala kita tetapi banyak sebenarnya aktiviti yang boleh korang lakukan selain tidur.  Contohnya membaca buku atau majalah kegemaran korang, melayari laman web yang korang memang gemar buka (facebook , twitter ), mendengar muzik atau tengok DVD.  Masa inilah korang perlu memanjakan diri korang dengan aktiviti - aktiviti yang korang tak sempat lakukan di hari - hari biasa.

Kegemaran

Jika korang rasa tak rela untuk malas berpanjangan, cuba isi masa lapang dengan melakukan hobi yang boleh membuatkan korang melupakan masalah seketika.  Korang boleh buat apa sahaja asalkan mood happy korang itu ada. Makan coklat ke? HAHA!!!! Coklat amat penting buat saya.  Saya akan bawa ke mana - mana. Contohnya memasak, korang boleh mencuba resipi baru apatah lagi kalau resipi baru anda itu menjadi dan sedap.  Selain itu, korang juga boleh pasang lagu kegemaran.  Menyanyi sendirian adalah salah satu teknik yang boleh membantu emosi korang menjadi lebih bahagia dan enjoy.

Giving Back

Sewaktu korang mampu memiliki "ME TIME" , tidak ada salahnya jika korang mengisinya dengan melakukan aktiviti sosial.  Melakukan sesuatu perkara untuk orang lain khususnya yang serba kekurangan di sekeliling kita , bakal menjadikan kita tambah bersyukur dengan segala nikmat yang kita miliki. 


Banyakkan "ME TIME" yang korang boleh lakukan??? hahaha, lepas ini boleh cuba.  Fiza, kawan - kawan kau nak sikit coklat dove tue??? Wink Wink!!!

Types of Memory

Apa types of memory yang anda tahu???

Saya tahu ramai ingat types of memory hanya ada 2 sahaja.  Sebelah kanan dan kiri.  Mari kira recall balik apa maksud memory.  Recall, Ability to remember, Power of recollection and Mental Retention.

EPISODAL

Memory that is personal to you and has to deal with your own experiences.

SEMANTIC

Memory that holds your general world knowledge.  Your knowledge of language is a category of semantic memory.  Another category is conceptual knowledge like concepts, ideas and relationships.

PROCEDURAL

Memory stores the motor skills that you need to play games.  You never tend to forget them but yet find it hard to explain.  Try explaining how to drive a car, its hard but you do it.


Handle with care

Note: " I dont know why they call it heartbreak.  It feels like every other part of my body is broken too".

Saya tahu patah hati sangat menyakitkan pada seseorang terutama perempuan.  Perempuan sangat-sangat sensitif ( including me) HIHIHI. Okay..Okay, I'm serious now.  Kamu mungkin akan rasa kehilangan, marah, sedih, terpukul dan malu.  Wake up dear, dont be like this!!!! 

HERE I'VE 10 TIPS TO SHARE WITH YOU!!!

1. Bila terjadi sedemikian rupa, mari kita lakukan teknik relaksasi untuk meredakan sistem saraf kamu yang sedang tegang. wah, If tegang anda memang stress sangat-sangat.  Bermacam-macam teknik relaksasi anda boleh buat. Teknik yoga, berenang, jogging,urutan atau manjakan diri di SPA... SPA?? klas kau jahhh!!!!

2. Berbual dengan teman-teman.  Tak perlu la nak cerita tentang tajuk-tajuk yang hot atau sensitif.  Haaa, nanti sedih lagi susah.  Adanya teman yang setia mendengar saat kamu dalam kesusahan secara tidak langsung akan membangkitkan hormon oxytocin. 

3. Lakukan senaman aerobik. I like this.... Jangan nak berpoco-poco pula yea... Senaman ini boleh membantu untuk menghilangkan segala tekanan yang ada.  Senaman ini juga dapat mampu memaksa otak melepaskan hormon endorfin yang boleh menimbulkan perasaan gembira. =D

4. Sentiasa dekatkan diri dengan Tuhan kerana inilah ubat yang paling mujarab untuk menenangkan diri dan hati yang sedang berduka.

5.Cuba korang buat aktiviti yang baru kerana mencuba sesuatu yang baru dan menyeronokkan akan membuatkan korang lebih mudah melupakan apa yang telah berlaku kepada korang.

6. Menangislah sepuas - puasnya bila kamu terasa begitu sedih kerana menurut kajian dari University Of South Florida, 90% orang yang patah hati ini merasakan perasaannya lebih baik setelah menangis.  

7. Please leave me alone!!!! Cari waktu untuk bersendirian kerana ada kalanya apabila ada ruang untuk bersendirian korang akan lebih mengenali diri sendiri mengakui kesilapan yang dilakukan.

8. Lakukan aktiviti favourite yang korang suka.  Ini terbukti boleh merangsang kerja dopamin pada otak.  Hormon dopamin ini boleh menimbulkan rasa senang dan gembira.. Haaa, apa tunggu lagi jom. Pasang lagu nobody. cool la babe.

9. Mengambil supplement untuk menguatkan tubuh. Contohnya vitamin C, teh herba.  Badan yang sihat, hati pun sihat. =D

10. Cuba lihat pada kesusahan serta kesengsaraan orang lain bagi menimbulkan keinsafan pada diri.  Dari situ korang akan sedar betapa berat beban yang korang tanggung ada orang lain yang lebih berat beban yang dipikulnya.

The Right Environment

Sorry friends, this few weeks i'm busy with my bundle of assignment.  I want to share with all of you the right environment when we are reading.

Please be aware of these potential influences that can effect your reading.

1. LIGHT
The type of light and the angle of light.  You can use the natural light or incandescent bulbs.  Fluorescent light actually is blink so its better to use natural light or incandescent bulbs.

2. CHAIR
A good chair that supports the bones as one sits and also fits the legs.  Care should be taken to match the body as well.


Please do not use the left chair =D







3.TABLE
It needs to be of coordinated height for you and the chair. It should be large enough to spread and handle your materials.

4. EQUIPMENT
Equipment such as pens, papers, pencils, paper clips, and others should be easily available and of good quality.  These help you to write and take notes as you read.

5.ATMOSPHERE
An environment that is inviting and welcoming should be created.  Flowers, aroma, pictures and light tone helps create that situations.

6. AIR AND TEMPERATURE
Fresh air should circulate.  The temperature is better on the cool side, to keep the brain sharp.

7.SOUND
Music with a variety of selections, usually without words.  All this rhythms get your brain inspired to the mood you desire.

8.SPACE
The feeling of the space between and around you.  Your personal space requirements are very - very important.

Merdeka Raya 2011
